About Alice Wiltshire-Primm and Wiltshire-Jones, Inc.
“It all began” Alice Primm says, "when a friend convinced me to enroll in a mural-painting class." Taught by a famous retired faux finish artist, renowned for his restoration of Buckingham Palace, the lessons spanned two weeks, eight hours a day. At the end of this intensive course, her mural was voted the best in the class and she says, “The bug had bitten me badly!” Only months later, she resigned her corporate position and started what is now Wiltshire-Jones, Inc. in Miami, Florida.
Soon, she became the requested faux painter of Miami, Boca Raton, and Bal Harbor designers, providing faux finishes, murals, metal leafing, wood-graining, and furniture painting services. Since then, for the past 35 years, she has honed her skills and widened her repertoire to include historic restoration of faux finishes as well as portraits. Recently relocating to Lynchburg, Virginia, Alice stays busy providing outstanding, heirloom quality painting to her clients both locally and throughout the U.S.
She also contributes to The Memory Project www.memoryproject.org which enlists artists to paint portraits of child orphans all over the world. “Through The Memory Project, I hope to spread a little hope to children who may feel forgotten. May my effort show them they are not alone and that they are valued by someone who wanted to take the time and care to paint their portrait,” she says.
